My paintings offer both an insight into my own personal tribulations as a woman whilst celebrating womanhood. Shaped by the rich traditions of folk and feminist art, my creative practice is informed by my relationship with our genetic footprint.
By exploring themes of womanhood, female relationships, and the embodiment of mother nature as an art form, I have developed a rich personal connection with my sisterhood, whilst also tending a new sense of self-worth and identity.

My work predominantly uses fabric and wood; therefore, surface takes on a large significance. Embroidery also forms a large part of my practice; standing out as one of the limited artistic expressions historically available to women, I am inspired by the pioneers who contributed to this art form.
Having few preconceptions of what a piece may become, my paintings evolve organically through instinctive chance. They find new forms and mediums throughout the process and I find it exciting and challenging to catch these moments as and when they come.
